Required Equipment: Strong work ethic, FULL TURNOUT GEAR, SCBA, and a SPARE BOTTLE
The H.O.T. (hands on training) class will consist of 4 stations including live fire, scba confidence, ladders and hose line advancement. Each student will spend 3.5-4 hours at each station. Doing only 2 stations per day.
Station 1 LIVE FIRE- The State of Indiana class Alive fire trailer will be utilized to show different methods of fire suppression and fire behavior. Station will meet NFPA 1403.
Station 2 SCBA Confidence- The State of Indiana SCBA confidence course trailer will be used for this station. During this station you will be given different scenarios to build confidence while using your SCBA.
Station 3 Ladders- This station will show proper use and outside the box use of aerial and ground ladders
Station 4 Hose line advancement- This station will utilize the nozzle forward technique and show different ways to suppress the fire during line advancement.
Class needs: Strong work ethic, FULL TURNOUT GEAR, SCBA, and a SPARE BOTTLE
