Aleatha Henderson
Retired Battalion Chief, Aleatha A Henderson is a 28 year veteran firefighter of the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD). For 20 years she served as the Director of Public Education and Firefighters Survive Alive Inc, a fire andLife safety education program. In those 20 years the Public Education division achieved numerous accomplishments, but the most notable achievement was assisting the IFD in achieving International Accreditation and the ISO Class 1 status. She currently holds the following certifications, FireInstructor I, II & II, Firefighter I & II, Fire and Life Safety Educator I & II, Fire OfficerI, Car Passenger Safety Technician Instructor, CPR Instructor, Youth Fire setter InterventionSpecialist I and II and a host of other achievements by the National Fire Academy. She also serves as an Instructor for the State of Indiana DHS and is the NFPA Indiana NetworkRepresentative. Mrs. Henderson has a wonderful husband, three beautiful children, a daughter in law and soon arriving 1st grandchild. She loves spending time with family, church, reading and most outdoor activities.
